The Path I Fear

I walked the lonesome road tonight.
I felt the void that never puts me right.
Dont know why i got to relive it every time,
wishin tat it would jus go away wit no rhyme.

I stepped on the cobbled path,
ready to see what lay ahead, i trod along.
This time i wanted to get out of it unscathed.
This time i did not wish to hurt.
As i trod i den realised all this while i forgot to see the lilies in my path,
all this while i forgot to see the petals strewn across.

Now i know why i dreaded this path,
for i saw only the rocks and pebbles.
The flowers lay unnoticed,
cause i just prefered to walk in pain.
Not realising that the things tat lay unnoticed,
made my walk down memory lane bearable.
