Today was one fuzzy morning I can’t remember bits of it at all.... No am not suffering from a hangover because I do remember that I did not drink.... but then I think, I had a Chocolate, which must have caused it. Am sure it was laced with something, cause I am in a state now that makes me scratch my head.
Starting with the following
1. I woke up in my bed... What’s unusual you ask? Well, I clearly remember falling asleep on the couch. How I got to my bed, is what baffles me. I must have sleepwalked.
2. I walked out of the house all set to go to work with my bag and slippers, only when I looked down did I realize I was wearing my night pyjamas. I think I was sleepwalking.
3. So I dressed up and was talking to mom as I pulled out the perfume bottle and was about to squirt it when mom screamed and snatched the bottle and said " that's the pain relief spray you nut". I think I was sleepwalking.
4. I stopped an auto near my place got into it and told him where I had to go, the auto driver looks at me puzzled wondering if I was just lazy or whether he was seriously that lucky. Only after he asked me again did Ii realize that Ii told him my house address rather than my office address. *facepalm* Travelling in an auto for a 2 meter distance the driver says “I am sleepwalking”.
5. I get down and walk towards my office, I see the mad lady. There is this lady who apparently went loony after an ugly tiff with her lover. Rumours say that she was very beautiful and had the most beautiful blue eyes ever, which are now veiled behind her mangled hair that cover half her face. And I in my sleepwalking state, stop right in front of her and stare at her eyes for one whole minute just to check if her eyes were blue. She looks at me and rants something and walks past. I was sleepwalking
6. I step into my work place and I get a phone call from one of my clients after all the details were said and confirmed I close the call with a greeting that went like this, "thank you Nithin, good night". And I realized that only after I dropped the call. But then am excused because the phone call was from the States and technically it was night there. Was it not?
7. I realized my phone was missing. Tried to recall, whether I left it at home or in the auto? I tried calling it, but no response so guessed it had to be at home. I borrowed my colleague’s phone and msgd dad that my phone was at home and to tell mom to call me ASAP. 4 hours went by and no call from dad or mom. Then it struck me I msgd my own number. DUH!!! I was sleepwalking.
8. I was wondering why the hell, my system at work not switching on. Banged at it, fiddled with the UPS. Only to realize I had not plugged it in :( I was sleepwalking.
9. Half the phone calls that came in today i addressed them with a gender switch. Sir's became madams and vice versa. I was Sleep talking.
10. I sat at the wrong desk, and was wondering why there wasn’t any AC at my place. I was sleepwalking.
I think I was sleepwalking. Because after a solid yelling, 5 crashes of the firefox, My water bottle spilling all its contents on the printer, I can effectively blame my sleepiness.
I was sleepwalking because I would definitely not hum 'Hey there Delilah' when my boss was yelling at me.
Or maybe am schizophrenic because I just saw a yellow bunny wearing a red hat and a joker’s mask while I was typing this blog out..... Or I guess that's just the party animal...
I don't know what it was…………………………………
I AM SLEEPWALKING.
PS. just before i posted i get an IM why are u acting so weird?.... Hmmm now i wonder what i did?

I Long For Thee
I long for thee to come and kiss my eyelids,
I long for thee to come and embrace me in your warm hug,
I long for thee to take me to the land of magic,
I long for thee to take me on a voyage beyond the dark black sky into the land of colour.
Oh sleep, oh sleep, this tired being beckons you.
I long for thee to come and embrace me in your warm hug,
I long for thee to take me to the land of magic,
I long for thee to take me on a voyage beyond the dark black sky into the land of colour.
Oh sleep, oh sleep, this tired being beckons you.

Oye bubbly
There’s something so enrapturing about bubbles. Those delightful soapy bubbles enchants almost everyone kids and adults alike. The way the soap suds form perfect round, clear and crystal like spheres that just floats in the air. The way the children laugh in glee running after it catching them and laughing again as they burst at the slightest touch.
I loved them as a child and still long for them but its kind of embarrassing to buy them now when am with my friends what will they think… “Stop acting like a kid”...
I remember how as a child I used to beg my dad for 5 rupees to buy that magic bottle of soap suds and he used to say “what’s the big deal in that once home just put some detergent and lather it up and blow bubbles”…
Where does he understand its not the same as in the park where there are so many kids and you suddenly become the magic maker with the bottle of soaps and as you make those perfect water spheres you make friends too... as kids the sheer joy to jump up and catch it as you blow the bubbles with your magic straw is un-understandable to the adults… and once the bottle gets over the rest of the kids pester their parents to buy one for them and they join in while the rest whose parents did not let them buy, jump in glee catching those delightful bubbles….
And once we all tire out catching and blowing bubbles all of us rush to the slide or the swing and chit chat and laugh and play….. Strangers few minutes back met just a while ago in the park we play as though we knew each other for ages…. And as we part we promise to meet again next Sunday… and next Sunday I see not the same friends but a new batch of girls and boys of my age…promises are never kept because parents don’t understand…. and same scene enfolds….
The bubbles back then were like the friendship genie… I made friends through these magic bubbles….. For a shy kid it was a great ice breaker…. Just see someone with a bottle of bubbles blowing them I used to run and play catch with all the other kids running to burst them… you drop all inhibitions and run after them….I did not worry if they thought I was crazy running in a futile attempt to catch the bubbles….
And now years later the same old famous kadri park and a small boy sitting with his basket and he has dozens of small bottles of soap suds with the bubble blowing straw…. I am here with my group of friends… yeah I know not many come to the park these days only lovers or drunk men and lunatics frequent here…and a bunch of girls looked odd here in the park you would say…. but we were just bored of all the other places so we came here to eat charmuri a time out from our boring lectures in college….. And as they eat I look at the boy selling the bubbles how I badly wanted to have them…
The boy looks at me and says “ Akka 5 rupee only take please” I look at my friends they were not looking my way I could buy it…but what would they say my so called “cool” image of mine my “cool” friends what would they think.. but the sight of those bubble bottles gave in to all my desires….
I fish out a 5 rupee coin and he hands me over a bottle with blue coloured liquid in it… I was strangely elated and happy at the sight I dip the straw and blew and like a genie trapped in a lamp the crystal clear water spheres released out and floated in the air.
I was delighted, I felt like a kid again, I forgot myself and blew more of my magic bubbles…. I was not concerned now if my friends’ say anything I look back and I just saw them smiling….. Then one of them exclaimed “I used to love them as a kid I want a bottle too” …”Me too”… “Me three”… and am not surprised these were truly genie bubbles…..and then we were kids again… “Cool” kids…
